Statement of Supplemental EEO Outreach Activities
1. R & R participated in job fairs and employment expositions to promote employment in the broadcast field. Station personnel with substantial responsibility in making hiring decisions attended these events (including at each either the General Manager or the General Sales Manager).
- On October 3, 2010, R & R participated in the Rancho Mirage Business Expo held at “The River” shopping mall in Rancho Mirage.
- On October 8, 2010, R & R participated in the Palm Desert Business Expo held at the Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino in Indio.
- October 15, 2010, R & R participated in the Valley Wide Employment Expo held at the Fullenwider Auditorium on the Indio Fairgrounds in Indio.
- On December 8, 2010, R & R participated in the Palm Springs High School Career Day at the High School in Palm Springs.
2. R & R maintains an internship program in cooperation with local educational institutions relating to career opportunities in broadcasting. R & R had four interns participating in the program during this reporting period.
3. R & R participated in the selection process for the Southern California Broadcasters Association scholarship program. The Association awarded three scholarships.
