Heard on KDES every weekend since 2008, and a Coachella Valley radio broadcaster since 1986, Ford Michaels has been a personality on some of America's great radio stations since uttering his first on-air words in 1966 in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.
After his voice changed, Ford headed west and worked on stations in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and San Bernardino counties as well as nearly a quarter century here in the desert.
"After playing music on many different stations," Michaels quips, "it's nice to finally be playing the greatest hits. Guess I saved the best for last."
